About this service
reportanimalcruelty.co.uk is a reporting service for members of the public in England and Wales to report concerns about animal cruelty, neglect and welfare.
When you submit a report it is received by our welfare team. A manager reviews incoming reports, opens an incident where appropriate and assigns it to a welfare officer. The officer investigates and keeps a formal, tamper-evident record of their work in an electronic pocket notebook that complies with the standards expected for evidence.
What we can and cannot do
- We investigate animal welfare concerns and gather evidence.
- We are not the police. If a crime is in progress or an animal is in immediate danger, call 999.
- We cannot guarantee a specific outcome, but every report is reviewed.
